class=\"col-inner\"  >\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\n<h1>ELIGIBILITY TO UPGRADE TO ADULT (MARE) REGISTRATION<\/h1>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"168\" data-end=\"288\">AFHA Foundation Foal (Filly) registrations can be upgraded to Foundation Adult (Mare) registrations once the horse reaches 3 years of age or older.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"290\" data-end=\"453\">To upgrade a registration, owners or breeders must complete the online <strong data-start=\"361\" data-end=\"388\">Foundation Mare Upgrade<\/strong> form (below).<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"455\" data-end=\"508\"><strong data-start=\"455\" data-end=\"508\">To complete the upgrade, you will need to submit:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"509\" data-end=\"705\">\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"509\" data-end=\"621\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"511\" data-end=\"621\">A completed Foundation Mare Upgrade form, including a self-declaration of the mare\u2019s suitability for breeding.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"622\" data-end=\"705\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"624\" data-end=\"705\">New photos of the mare, following the <a href=\"https:\/\/fjordhorse.info\/wordpress\/horse-registration\/photograph-guide\/\">AFHA Photograph Guidelines<\/a> (Section 3.3.4).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"707\" data-end=\"817\">Once your application and documents are reviewed and approved, your mare will receive full adult registration.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"819\" data-end=\"1029\">If the mare does not meet the eligibility criteria, she will retain her foal registration. Complete the Foundation Mare Upgrade <\/span><\/strong><strong><span style=\"color: #333333;\">(below). <\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color: #333333;\">This <\/span><span style=\"color: #333333;\">includes a self-declaration of the mare\u2019s suitability for breeding.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1170\" data-end=\"1201\"><strong>3. AFHA Review and Approval. <\/strong>Your application will be reviewed by the AFHA Registration Committee.
